Overview
Amritsar Pick up from hotel Drive to village that is situated 30 minutes from Amritsar city near border. On arrival you will be greeted with traditional drink sweet Lassi. A traditional welcome drink offered to all when someone visits the family. A group of Bhangra people will welcome you to the village. Bhangra is the vibrant and energetic folk form that originates only in Punjab. it is so vibrant and energetic that you will not stop yourself from dancing on the tunes of Dhol and boliyaan (a special lyrics that is sung along). Visit a flour mill to know the process of grain of being converted into wheat powder. Wheat is the main bread of the country. Wheat serves as raw material to many delicious foods. Enjoy a tractor ride through narrow lanes of the village and enjoy the sightseeing of the village. Witness small children running to their schools and ladies carrying water and grains on their heads. Men sloughing their fields with cattle and sowing seeds for new harvest. Visit to the home of locals where you will be served with breakfast or Lunch (as per your requirement). Interact with locals and get a deep insight into their daily lifestyle. See women churning milk into homemade butter. Then board a bullock cart and enjoy a ride through lush green fields of village. Witness how fresh vegetables and fruits grow. Then visit a carpet weaving industry and learn the art of weaving a carpet. You will be amazed by the skills of the people involved in knitting a full sized carpet.
